Let's work together so that Every Day is Earth Day
As a City Councilor I will:
* Work to reduce our contribution to global warming
* Promote development of a City energy conservation plan to reduce greenhouse gases
* Promote more energy efficiency in our buildings through incentives to build and renovate using green designs and standards
* Support development of an emergency energy plan to ensure vital services for our citizens
* Encourage greater use of buses and alternative transportation
* Develop partnerships with employers to provide vanpools
* Support protection of our greenways, trails, and parks
* Work to increase our tree canopy
* See that steep slope and sedimentation regulations are enforced to keep our waterways clean
As citizens of Charlottesville we must continue to be good stewards of this beautiful place even as we embrace new technologies that protect the environment and conserve resources.
Help make Charlottesville a cleaner, greener place by voting for me at the Democratic Nominating Convention on June 2 at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Performing Arts Center at Charlottesville High School. More Details |
